The object pronoun en translates to of it, of them, or some. It is always placed in front of the verb and replaces nouns in two situations:
1. de, de la, de l’, du, des + an object/a thing
2. un, une, deux, trois, quatre, cinq,... + an object/a thing In the second situation, the number stays in the sentence and it not replaced by en.
J’ai envie de ce poste.(I want the job.) J’en ai envie. (I want it.)
Elle a écrit deuxlettres.(She wrote two letters.) Elle en a écrit deux. (She wrote two of them.)
Le camp va offrir centpostes.(The camp is going to offer one hundred jobs.) Le camp va en offrir cent. (The camp is going to offer one hundred of them.)
